WE'RE INSURE
.TOMORROW
OUR VISION.
We believe that every student deserves a liveable future. We believe that the insurance industry should ensure that future. Currently, the insurance industry continues to provide coverage to fossil fuel projects lining their pockets with billions every year. This underwriting enables fossil fuel expansion, jeopardising not only their own business model but also our planet.

The insurance industry has a unique position of power and influence: without insurance, the fossil fuel industry cannot function or expand. By refusing to insure harmful fossil fuel projects, the insurance sector could play a pivotal role in accelerating the global shift towards a greener, more secure future.

This shift is not just about protecting the environment; it's also about ensuring the long-term viability of the insurance industry itself. Climate change poses significant risks to all sectors, including insurance. Increasing natural disasters and extreme weather events result in larger claims, threatening the viability of insurance companies.
STUDENTS AT THE💙OF IT.
Students are the insurance industry's future workforce. Currently, the insurance sector is facing a significant recruitment crisis, and we plan to leverage this situation to compel these companies to act. By organising and mobilising students, we can emphasise the necessity for corporate practices to align with the values and expectations of their future workforce.
Insurance companies need to realise that the upcoming generation of workers demands change. By refusing to engage with firms that continue to support fossil fuel projects, we can exert pressure on the industry to move towards more sustainable practices. We will not work for companies putting our future at risk.
Students are proudly at the centre of this campaign. We will graduate into an uncertain future. It is the insurance industry’s responsibility to ensure our future is bright and fossil-free.
OUR WORK.
Our primary campaign objective is to push insurers to stop underwriting new and existing fossil fuel projects by making it costly for them not to. We will do this by accentuating the insurance industry's current recruitment crisis. We know that without students, insurance companies will not be able to fill their vacancies, losing talent and threatening their lucrative business model.

To do this, we will increase awareness within the student community of insurance companies' complicity in climate breakdown. We will organise and mobilise students to directly pressure the worst-offending insurers. And we will work with SUs and professional bodies to make sure the concerns of students are reflected in their policies and work relating to insurance companies.
We will highlight how an industry that is meant to be protecting us is endangering our collective tomorrow.
